I don’t know this person at all. But suddenly my opinion of them is exceptionally low.

I’ve seen them in small and midsized towns. They double as prom limos and vehicles for local parades.

These are used by some companies for sending work crews out of town. Oil field worker use these a lot around here. You can carry a bunch of guys and still have a bed for tool boxes and stuff.

Lol, as a former contractor I see a guy who employs a lot of people he needs to pick up and drive home from work. A truck like that could give a lot of people a second chance.

This would be so useful for a trip to the lake. No more forcing the wife to drive a separate car because we don’t all fit in the truck that’s towing the boat.
Gotta reduce that carbon footprint by needing one less entire vehicle.

They were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.

That is a 2008 Super Duty Deluxe Horseman. It was part of a short-run fleet evaluation Ford did when they were testing whether there was a market for a 3-row heavy-duty pickup that could still tow, haul, and keep a usable bed without pushing buyers into a van or medium-duty chassis.
Most people assume these are just aftermarket 6-door conversions, but a few of them came out of that weird gray area where manufacturer guidance, fleet channels, and approved upfitters overlapped enough that they looked far more factory-correct than a normal stretch job.
It died because it solved a very specific problem for a very small number of buyers, which is usually how these oddball fleet experiments end. Not enough mainstream demand for a real production run, but enough of them floating around to start arguments every time one gets posted. Happy april everyone.

This is the guy that backs into the space at the front of the supermarket instead of parking way out where there are no other vehicles.

Saw one like this in the early 90s that had double rear axles as well. Basically a semi tractor with a pickup body on it. Â
